Quick Dock 1.0

I had some down time over the holidays, so I worked on an upgrade to rsssaver and started a new project called Quick Dock. Quick doc is a Yahoo! Widget Engine widget to replace your Quick Launch Toolbar with something that looks more like the Apple iDock in OSX.

I'm still waiting on approval before it's available via Yahoo!'s Widget Library, but I'll update this page when it can be downloaded.

Update:

The widget is available for download here.

Hey! Great widget! Looks great and works well. Downside - My Documets seems to load rather slowly :( Do you know why? Oh and by the way how did you get your start menu to be orange and black? It looks rather cool. I have Windows Media Centre edition but it's green and blue! Thanks! Can you reply to tom_-_hubbard@hotmail.com

    Thanks - Tom

  8. to the anonym one :
    - search for the file "quickDock.js" (i found it in "...\QuickDockSource.widget\Contents")
    - when found make a backup and open to edit
    - in line 15 "quickLaunchDir=...." you have to correct the path (language), for example in german it should be :
    -->"quickLaunchDir = "C:/Dokumente und Einstellungen/"WRITE HERE YOUR WINDOWS USER NAME WITHOUT THE QUOTES"/Anwendungsdaten/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/Quick Launch";<--
and for english its the default entry
    - save the file
    - set the read-only attribute
    - now start the widget again (after some seconds it should relaunch)

  9. New version was submitted to yahoo, thanks for all the feedback!!!

mitoi666 - Thanks for the info, I incorporated it into the new release.

shane - It's the Microsoft Zune theme. Search for it online...

everyone else - the new version should help you find your folder, or make a new one where you can dump your shortcut files...

Hi, I like your widget. It's very nice.
Would you consider adding these three features:
    a) vertical layout
    b) always on top
    c) small icons?
